The Bagmati Ghats
Along the embankments of the Bagmati
River you find old ghats (washing places), temples, houses
and statues

Lingam-Yoni,
symbols of the male and female sex united. The lingam is the
fountain of life and is usually placed in the Yoni, the source
of all that exists.
The lingam is worshipped as a symbol of Shiva.

The trident is also an emblem of Shiva |

Mingmar Tamang
Mingmar was the leading sherpa on my group trek to Kanchenjunga in 2004
and my porter/guide in Langtang/Helambu 2005. He is 24 years old
(November 2005) and was born near Phaplu in Solo south of Lukla. He is a
very experienced guide, very strong and friendly, loyal and reliable. If
his English was better, he would be perfect (but then he would not be
available as a porter/guide).
I feel happy to recommend him.
Mingmar
